Entry and acceptance

By entering Aberdeen Golf Week 2027, paying a deposit or paying the entry fee in full, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.

The advertised entry fee is £295 per person. It includes five rounds of golf at the participating venues and entry into the principal Singles and Pairs competitions, subject to the published event programme.

Deposits and balance payments

A deposit of £50 per person is required to secure a place. The remaining balance must be received no later than 31st March 2027.

Where a balance remains unpaid after the deadline, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and offer the place to another golfer. Deposits are applied towards the total entry fee and are subject to the cancellation terms below.

Cancellation by a golfer

Cancellation requests must be made by email. Any refund will be calculated from the date on which written notice is received.

For late cancellations, we may provide a refund if we successfully fill the place. Any refund may be reduced by administration costs and charges that cannot be recovered from the participating clubs or suppliers.

Player substitutions

A golfer who can no longer attend may request to transfer their place to another eligible golfer. Substitutions require approval and may be subject to administration requirements imposed by the event or participating golf clubs.

Requests should be made as early as possible and must include the replacement golfer's full name, email address, mobile number, home club and current handicap information.

Course closures, weather and disruption

Golf is an outdoor activity. Play may be delayed, shortened, suspended or cancelled because of weather, course conditions, safety concerns or a decision made by a participating golf club.

If a course is closed and the affected round cannot be rearranged during the week, we will aim to provide a voucher, replacement round or other reasonable alternative. Any alternative will remain subject to the club's availability, booking rules, expiry dates and restrictions.

Tee times and course schedule

Tee times and daily course allocations are planned in advance but may change for operational reasons. Confirmed tee times may move by up to approximately 20 minutes from the time originally advised.

Where a more significant alteration is required, we will provide as much notice as reasonably possible. Golfers must arrive in sufficient time to register and be ready to play at the advised tee time.

Handicaps, eligibility and competition rules

Golfers must provide accurate handicap information and satisfy any eligibility requirements issued for the event. Players are responsible for ensuring their handicap record is current and for complying with the Rules of Golf, local rules and event instructions.

All five rounds are intended to be handicap-counting competitions. Formats, handicap allowances, tees, scoring procedures and prize rules will be confirmed in the player information issued before the event.

The event committee's decision on competition matters, scoring disputes, eligibility and countback procedures will be final.

Pairs, side competitions and prizes

The event may include Pairs, Two's, Par-3, Last Man Standing or other optional competitions. Additional entry fees, eligibility rules and prize structures will be communicated separately where applicable.

Prize categories, sponsors and advertised items may change. Where a prize becomes unavailable, a substitute of similar value may be provided. Prizes are not normally transferable for cash unless expressly stated.

Conduct, pace of play and dress code

Participants must behave respectfully towards fellow golfers, event staff, golf club employees and other course users. Players must observe each venue's dress code, clubhouse rules and pace-of-play requirements.

Serious misconduct, abusive behaviour, deliberate damage, repeated slow play, intoxication that causes disruption or continued breaches of club rules may result in removal from the event without refund.

Buggies, accessibility and medical needs

Golf buggy availability is controlled by each golf club and may be restricted because of weather, ground conditions or club policy. A buggy is not guaranteed unless it has been confirmed directly.

Golfers requiring a buggy or other assistance for medical or mobility reasons should contact us as early as possible. Participants are responsible for bringing any necessary medication and for assessing whether they are fit to play.

Event changes and force majeure

We may make reasonable changes to venues, schedules, formats, prizes, suppliers or supporting activities where necessary to operate the event safely and effectively.

We will not be responsible for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, fire, flood, public-health restrictions, transport disruption, industrial action, civil emergency, government action or the closure of a venue.

Where possible, we will seek to provide a reasonable alternative or preserve as much of the event programme as circumstances allow.

Photography, video and event media

Photographs and video may be captured during Aberdeen Golf Week for event coverage, results, websites, email, social media and future event promotion.

A golfer who does not wish to appear in identifiable promotional material should notify the event team before play begins. We will make reasonable efforts to respect that request.

Personal belongings, insurance and liability

Golfers remain responsible for their own clubs, equipment, vehicles and personal belongings. Participation is at the golfer's own risk, subject to any legal responsibility that cannot be excluded or limited.

Participants should arrange suitable personal, travel and golf insurance where appropriate. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Personal information and communications

We will use the information supplied with a booking to administer the event, process payments, issue tee times, provide results and communicate important updates.

Relevant information may be shared with participating golf clubs and operational partners where necessary to deliver the event. Golfers are responsible for providing accurate contact details and checking their inbox, including junk or spam folders.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. Any dispute arising in connection with the event or these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts, unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
